gongz Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 I'm looking for information, photos etc, for these awards - awarded to foreigners for WW I services to France, made in approx 1921. Also interested in purchase. G.
Chris Boonzaier Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 Hi, their are various very diverse medals named this I think?
TacHel Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 Different medals from different ministries in many variants... Do you mean to civilians or soldiers? Peace time or war time? Like Chris mentioned, not that easy. Please be a bit more specific.
gongz Posted July 28, 2014 Author Posted July 28, 2014 Thanks for your replies. The medals I'm interested in were awarded in early 1921 to New Zealand civilians, in New Zealand, for assistance with French WW I war efforts, particularly for humane responses. There were approx 19 awards made to NZers - mostly to Mayors of main cities, Red Cross and other patriotic committees.
