JapanX Posted August 13, 2014 Author Posted August 13, 2014 ... A 2nd opinion on the Anna would be greatly appreciated. Hi Pieter, both look very nice! Any marks on "black" Anna? Cheers, Nick
JapanX Posted August 13, 2014 Author Posted August 13, 2014 On the other hand not all "russians" were made in precious metals. Take a look at this St,Anna with swords
Peter J Posted August 13, 2014 Posted August 13, 2014 Thanks Lars, your comments are well worth to ponder over. The enamel isn't "dirty", but has what appears to be tiny holes. The bottom arm is effected the most, but strangely enough the reverse isn't as effected. Nick, I see what you mean! The border around the cross is nicely gilded, but the rest looks "cheapish". The pin is also longer and thinner and the plate is unmarked non-ferrous steel-coloured metal.
JapanX Posted August 13, 2014 Author Posted August 13, 2014 Very interesting mini Peter! Screw plate and rosette look very russian to me.
Peter J Posted August 13, 2014 Posted August 13, 2014 I think I'll quote the Beach Boys: I can hear music
JapanX Posted August 14, 2014 Author Posted August 14, 2014 A little gallery of Anna`s from different manufacturers French Anna`s
