Jock Auld Posted August 16, 2014 Posted August 16, 2014 Guys, This is a new one for me, I have of course seen the blue metal tin type, this must be a cheaper expedient measure in cardboard? jock
Paul R Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 Very interesting. I have never seen one of this type before.
kyles bullets Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 One of these just sold on German ebay just like it about 2 months ago
Jock Auld Posted August 25, 2014 Author Posted August 25, 2014 Kyles bullets, If you see another and it is cheap and chearful you should take it. German ebay is a very good source of stuff. I don't doubt there are plenty out there and I must have walked past 100s of them over my 26 years in Germany but you have to know they exist to collect them I suppose. If you don't notice the Luftshutz property mark then it is just a black thing amongst the junk. Jock
kyles bullets Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 I already have one of these luftschutz ones in the small blue canister you mentioned earlier. Mask is in good shape with perfect pliable leather. I meant to bid but forgot about it as there was one of those really late war Luftschutz armbands that just says LS. It was in very faint blue ink. I'll see if I can recover the photos some how. It didn't have the papers like yours.
Jock Auld Posted August 27, 2014 Author Posted August 27, 2014 Kyles Bullets, the papers are just the standard VM instructions, nothing different or fancy. The blue canister can also be black but most I have seen are blue. Jock
kyles bullets Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 Haven't seen a black one but I don't really look much at gas masks. Either way the VGM instructions are cool and wish mine had them
