SasaYU Posted October 11, 2014 Share Posted October 11, 2014 Belgrade operations (or Belgrade offensive) represents one of the largest and most important battles in the Balkans during World War II. The operation lasted from 12 to 20 October 1944 and was a part of a comprehensive operational plan of the Third Ukrainian Front of the Red Army and the Liberation Army of Yugoslavia, building without interruption to operations in eastern Serbia and continuing prosecution of enemies through Srem. Combined units NOVJ and the Red Army has caused in Germany this operation the army group "Serbia" heavy defeat, liberated Belgrade, the Yugoslav capital, and a large part of Serbia. Liberation of Belgrade ended 1287 days long occupation of Germany capital of Yugoslavia. Belgrade (with partial Paris) was the only major city in Europe in which the liberating armies with large anti-fascist forces participated equally regular national army, the National Liberation Army of Yugoslavia. Belgrade became a military, political and administrative center and seat of government new, second Yugoslavia. This will be the biggest parade since 1985. Yesterday was the rehearsal, I made couple of photos and videos, will try to upload them later. He was awarded Order of Serbian Republic 1st class on large chain. This is supposedly the highest award of Serbia. This is supposedly the highest award of Serbia. Yes, that's the highest Serbian decoration. I believe that Putin the only recipient of the first class order so far.
