Riley1965 Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 The research is in!!! My brother-sister group is actually a Husband-Wife group. Colonel Fedorov was a Jr. Lt. assigned to the Far east Front in 1941. He was assigned to the 9th Air Army as a LT. in October 1943.He participated in the war with Japan from 9 August 1945 to 3 September 1945. On 26 August 1945 he was recommended for the Order of the Red Banner for actions defending against the Japanese in Manchuria. He was repeatedly attacked and repulsed all attacks without any losses. He was a Lieutenant at the time. Instead he received the Medal for Military Merits. He later received the Order of the Red Star for length of service and an Order of the Patriotic War, 2nd Class. All together he recieved two Orders, 15 Medals and two Badges.Unfortunately, His wife Zinaida's service during the Great Patriotic War is not researchable. She has two Russian Federation medals, 2oth-40th GPW and a Badge for the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the Ukrain. I do have all of her award books as well as Colonel Fedorov's.Well, that's the short version. I'll write an article detailing the service of this husband and wife.Enjoy!!!Doc
