Stuka f
Not sure how they are called in English. In Flemish they are know as table medal...They were generaly made for commemorations, anniversary's,gifts etc....
IrishGunner
Also known as "table medals" or "art medals" in English. A collectible field that gets little notice I think among "mainstream" militaria collectors. They usually can be found as an extension of numismatics - called Exonumia
Chris Boonzaier
The artwork on many of the older ones is fantastic, the Argentinian one here for instance...

I would be grateful, because I can't find anything.....
paul wood
On no 5 is there any engraver's name on the medal, not totally clear from the image, if so there is a chance it might be identifiable. Alas we knew a very knowledgeable collector of Belgian commemorative medals but alas he has gone to the great collectors gallery in the sky. Stuka f
But this two are quiet intresting to me!It is a bit of a special story and goes back a long time.Rik Sauter was the father of Bob who was best friend with my father.I used to play as a child in the atelier of the guy, when visiting him. It was like a magical place to me with lots of non finished statues and also lots of paintings of Rik's brother Felix Sauter. The grand son (also named Kris) sold me nearly the whole atelier when he moved from his parental house.I had like hunderds of items, but had to sale greatest part, because it was my business and I invested quiet some money in getting it all.I did well, but never the less regreated I had to part of it. It is like breaking up a soldiers convolute.I howe ever managed to kept 3 paintings of Felix, one representing his brother the sculpture. And over the years had the luck to find stuff related to the Sauter family. And so are 2 of the medals of this bunch:
