larsb001 Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 Dear all, took some items home from the bank today to try to find some specific items. In the case there were also these miniatures of the Italian Order of the Annunziata which I believe is rarely seen, so these are for your amusement. If anybody would have any other types you could post yours for comparison.First a nice cased badge in gold: Than a few breast stars in excellent quality, yes another made it's way to the photo: Than another small set:
922F Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 Thank you for sharing these magnificent pieces! Exquisite detail!! Is there a jeweler's stamp in the case lid of your first [U I} example? Perhaps the second case is Cravanzola/Gardino production?
larsb001 Posted August 1, 2015 Author Posted August 1, 2015 Both cases is unmarked, What you vaguely can see in the lid of the U I case is a structure of the miniature after having been there for many years and not a makers mark. The badge itself is unmarked as well except for a gold content mark. Your bet on the second case seems valid, this would be my guess as well, although I stick to Gardino, maybe because I like the Gardino pieces better than the Cravenzola ones?
paul wood Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 Fantastic stuff, how do you manage to get such wonderful material?Paul
