dante Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 Interesting post card, welcome your thoughts.....
Chris Boonzaier Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 Very nice card. In the series there are I think 4 cards, Pionier, Infantry, Artillery (for sure) and I assume the 4th may be cavalry.
dante Posted September 12, 2015 Author Posted September 12, 2015 Cheers Chris, any idea what they look like?
The Prussian Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 Hello Dante!w.Pi.Kp,376 belonged to the 242th.Inf.Div.The division was set-up end of 1916.The card was written 18.12.1917. At that date the division was engaged in the battles of Reims (located near Berry-au-Bac)
dante Posted September 13, 2015 Author Posted September 13, 2015 Andy, that's great".... Do you know what the "SB" means above the unit stamp?
The Prussian Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 Yes, S.B. means "Soldaten-Brief" (soldier´s letter)
Chris Boonzaier Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 Here you go, the color one is no longer part of the sries, but in the black and white ones, 1) Infantry 2) Arty and 4) Pionier... missing is the 3)
