I am looking for possible data on the life and career Stabsartz der Landwehr I. August Metz in St. Goarshausen

Any help greatly appreciated!

Any way in finding some data on this guy? I know he was present at a baptism in 1880.

Hi David,

I found an Assistenzartz Dr. Metz without any medal entries in the 1872 Rangliste

der königlich Preußischen Armee. At this time he served with the

7. Rheinisches Landwehr Regiment Nr.69. Unfortunately without first name.

He is listed in the Todesfälle in the Deutsche Militärärztliche Zeitschrift in early 1891, so he died in late 1890 or early 1891.

Andreas,

another Dr. Metz but not the St. Goarshausen  medical officer. Stabsarzt d.L. Dr. Metz of Landwehr-Regiment Nr. 87 (Nassau/Oberlahnstein) then Landwehr-Bezirk Oberlahnstein died on 13 January 1891.
