Guest tyanacek
Hello to all, Here is a new police medalbar that I just received today. This is the first police bar I have ever owned that is without the embroidered police insignia on the ribbon. The bar also has an unusual placement of the WWI Austrian Service Medal.Best regards! Guest tyanacek
Here is the reverse of the medalbar. I wish I could post larger pictures on this forum. Could someone tell me how to do so?Best regards! Tom[attachmentid=31481]
Guest Darrell
Hi Tom,You eventually get to post larger pics when your post ranking increases. Can't remember exactly what size increments for number of posts ... but I believe it's at the top under administration.

Guest Rick Research
Are there two little holes in the police ribbon where the "ribbon bar" mounted full size device's backing was pinned on?Also, the website's size limits are NOT the issue-- it is whatever your settings are--the TINY medal bar scan above is 56KB, and yet THIS[attachmentid=31482]is 39 KB. Nothing I can do about the loss of quality, I do not have any technical ability to do anything but change the size of other people's scans. But whatever you had it on for dpi, quality resolution, and whatever is what is making you use the same "KB size" that a terrific scan three times as big would take, say scanned at 150 dpi on high quality resolution.THIS scan is 55KB = the same "size" as your original medal bar scan starting this thread.[attachmentid=31483]It's yoiur settings, and whatever you are doing that eats up all that space and leaves such a tiny image. Guest tyanacek
Hello Rick, Yes, it does look like something was once pinned to the long service ribbon. As you say, two small holes in the ribbon but hardly noticeable.Best regards! Tom
Gerd Becker
Tom,i have had a Police Medalbar (with 25 years service cross), which came directly from the vet and that one also did not have the embroidery on the ribbon. Gerd

Ulsterman
The Austrian commemorative medal at the front hints it was mounted post Anschluss. Says Berlin copper to me.One of his colleagues: Edited March 24, 2006 by Ulsterman
