Soldbuch & Wehrpass to a Grenadier. Gerhard Kosters was a Croat. He fought in France, Belgium, Russia, Italy, Luxemburg, Hungary & Austria. He was awarded BWB, Ost, PKA in bronze, KBA (Drivers badge) in silver & EK2 (soldbuch entry only) Thanks to "Hucks" who ID'd Claus Stamp's signature on page 25 of the Wehrpass. Stewy

That is certainly a Soldbuch that fits the term 'salty'!

Interesting that he felt the need to remove the photo in his Soldbuch but has left it in the Wehrpass.

Hi Kev, this has been discussed elsewhere as you know. I think the S/B & W/P were reunited post war. That's just my opinion though. Stewy

May be possible that at the end of the war he just had the SB, and the WP was with the unit and then finally came together many years later?

Starnger things have happend... I got the wifes grandfathers WP in the late 90s, he had not seen it since the late 30s!
