Don is wonderfully talented and a fine historian.  His passions are reflected in his art.

Very nice painting and expertly carried out. A moment caught in time during a lapse in the fighting? Maybe a letter from home, or maybe a letter found with the flag that belonged to its original owner?

It's very difficult to capture a moment like this without it seeming posed. Only a very few artists can achieve that in my opinion. Don has captured the moment and has complemented it with his amazing artistic capabilities and skills.
