Chris Boonzaier Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 Does anyone know what this is? Private purchase I guess.... but the top pockets seem to be totally useless? Being worn by a member of the 10th Reserve Jäger Battalion....
The Prussian Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 Strange, Chris, strange... Do you know, ih he´s got a sencond cockade upon the cap? I assume it´s a post-war photo.
Chris Boonzaier Posted June 15, 2017 Author Posted June 15, 2017 Hi, he has both cockades. The photo is dated 1917 in Romania.
The Prussian Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 Oh, that´s really strange! Unfortunately I don´t know anything about that tunic
Bayern Posted June 18, 2017 Posted June 18, 2017 Perhaps the strange coat is a windbreaker . appears to be slghtly cossed at the front .
Chip Posted August 3, 2017 Posted August 3, 2017 I think it's just a summer weight, privately purchased jacket. Windbreakers and the like are usually more loose fitting and don't normally display unit shoulder straps. Chip
