Alfred Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 Here is an example for an Red Star with producing errors. The line of the medaillon is disturbed.
Guest Rick Research Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 Wow! Weird! Is this a known variation with a large/small number struck like this, or literally unique?
Alfred Posted April 6, 2006 Author Posted April 6, 2006 No, it?s just the disturbed line of the medallion which is defect. Maybe the die was used to long.Serial number and mint mark are as on other red stars.
Vatjan Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 No, it?s just the disturbed line of the medallion which is defect. Maybe the die was used to long.Or somebody's finger got in the way, ouch!!!
Stogieman Posted April 7, 2006 Posted April 7, 2006 Alexei just sold a similar error on the Soviet Forum, but the error was on the right edge...
