mravery Posted April 7, 2006 Posted April 7, 2006 Ok guys,With all this PLM takl that is going on.. here and at 'the other forum'... I decided to dig mine out....Now.... I'm 99.99999999999% sure this is a copy..... but is it one of the newer Spanish ones... or an old Roth or ????????There are no makers marks anywhere on the cross.. (that I can see)....... But I also have another question.... Why is it some of the PLM's have just a 'bar' to attatch the loop and others (like this one) have a pie shaped suspension for the loop to attach too ??It one style earlier than another or ????Well.. here is it !!CheersMark[attachmentid=33592]
Stogieman Posted April 7, 2006 Posted April 7, 2006 Copy, copy, copy. Older one, similar, but not identical to the Rothe pieces. Not quite as much detail to eagles, wrong mouths as compared to the Rothe ones.
Paul C Posted April 7, 2006 Posted April 7, 2006 Do you have Stephen Previteria's new book on the PLM title "Prussian Blue" I highly recommend it.

Deruelle Posted April 7, 2006 Posted April 7, 2006 Hi, I have the same fake Pour le M?rite in my collection. My wife bought this one for my birthday 10 years ago. She knew it was a fake but like we hadn't got the money for a real one. It cost 100$ (10 years ago). I never sold it, it's too sentimental. RegardsChristophe
