Leuchtturm Posted March 30, 2018 Posted March 30, 2018 Hi Gents, I wanted to show you this very big miniature bar. Maybe you can identify the man who was awarded all the medals. I hope you enjoy this bar. Many thanks for your help. Best wishes Chris More pics.
922F Posted March 30, 2018 Posted March 30, 2018 Great bar! Lacks just an Osmanie green enamel body beneath the crescent on the green/red ribbon. Attribution would be difficult if not impossible.
Leuchtturm Posted March 30, 2018 Author Posted March 30, 2018 Hi, many thanks for your answer, maybe someone can help. Best wishes Chris
Mike McLellan Posted March 31, 2018 Posted March 31, 2018 Fascinating ribbons. Surely, a DSO who: served in Egypt, South Africa, MID in the Great War, and still had enough energy to serve on the home front in the Second Great War, cannot remain anonymous for too long around here. Just wait. Someone will come up with name and probably a photo of your man.
Leuchtturm Posted March 31, 2018 Author Posted March 31, 2018 Hi Mike, yes it´s a fascinating bar. Maybe I´ll have luck. Thank´s and best wishes Chris
peter monahan Posted March 31, 2018 Posted March 31, 2018 Young officer in Egypt and SA, staff wallah in WWI - hence the DSO - and a senior officer in the Home Guard for WWII. Impressive, but sadly, probably a description which matches literally dozens in not several hundred men.
