Alex K Posted August 25, 2018 Posted August 25, 2018 Hi all, hope someone can help, it's a bit of a long shot, but attached is a (Poor) image of the Merit medal for the Wedding of Princess Sybilla 20.10.1932 bronze, simple question, does anyone know what the ribbon would have looked like, its quite rare as only about 275 were awarded, presumably to those who attended, any help, as usual much appreciated regards Alex K
Megan Posted August 25, 2018 Posted August 25, 2018 Same ribbon as the Saxe-Ernestine House Order - pinkish-purplish red with green edges and a narrow dark blue stripe just to the inside of the green.
Alex K Posted August 25, 2018 Author Posted August 25, 2018 Hi all, thanks for the information, most useful, I'll "add" a note to my image for future reference regards Alex K
Bayern Posted August 27, 2018 Posted August 27, 2018 Hello Alex K , Megan and 1812 gave you the correct answer ,I just wish to add that the medal is priced around the 140 Euros . each medal was send to the recipient with a personal note of the duke Carl , the medal with this note may have a higher price
Alex K Posted August 27, 2018 Author Posted August 27, 2018 Hi Bayern, You are spot on with the price, the one I posted is for sale at the moment on a dealers web-site at around that price without note regards Alex K
