laurentius Posted December 15, 2018 Posted December 15, 2018 Dear fellow collectors Netflix has recently released a new series called 'Charité', it's about the famous Berlin hospital, which is still in use today. It plays in the Dreikaiserjahr 1888. The second episode has a few shots of Rudolf Virchow (played by Ernst Stötzner) received the order of the red eagle 2nd class, given to him personally by the new emperor Friedrich. Is there any actual evidence of him receiving the order? I would also like to know how many (if any at all) awarding ceremonies took place during his 99-day reign as monarch due to his illnes. Kind regards and thanks in advance, Laurentius
Komtur Posted December 16, 2018 Posted December 16, 2018 (edited) There were awards in his short reign. Virchow got the Red Eagle Order 2nd class with star and oak leafes on 19th of May 1888. 3. Nachtrag zur Königlich Preußischen Ordensliste 1886: Edited December 16, 2018 by Komtur
Paul C Posted December 16, 2018 Posted December 16, 2018 The Ordensliste is great. I have almost a complete set in PDF format.
GMU Posted December 18, 2018 Posted December 18, 2018 Where could one get a copy of this Ordensliste?
Paul C Posted December 22, 2018 Posted December 22, 2018 From me. I scanned over 125,000 pages. Drop me a message.
