Martin W
My uncle Gordon passed away a few years ago.Everyone called him Don. He served in the 21st Independent Parachute Company in WWII,pathfinders I believe ? At my request,I recently received these photo's from my cousin of his medals. We have the 1939-45 Star,France and Germany Star,Defence Medal,General Service Medal with Palestine Bar and two Terretorial Medals, one with two 6 year bars. Nice to finally get the photo's of this grouping. Cheers,Martin. Here's a photo I have of him taken in Caen,July 1944. BalkanCollector
Kind of a late reply as I haven't seen this until now but thank you for sharing! It's really nice to see a family still preserving the memory of their ancestors.
Wessel Gordon
My surname is Gordon so this thread immediately caught my eye..makes we wonder if me and your uncle is somehow related assuming his surname was Gordon. It's good to see that at least one Gordon did more than his fair share in WW 2...seems like he was a very busy soldier.

I'm pretty sure his name was Gordon and not the surname.
