I would very much like to check out if and when the Swedish diplomat and general Gustaf Carl Fredrik Löwenhielm (1771 - 1856) received the following orders:

Order of Saint Alexander Nevsky (I know there is a book with a list of recipients, but my Russian is extremely bad).

    Order of Saint Anna

    Order of Saint Vladimir

    Anyone?

    Order of Saint Anna

Yes, he definitely was a cavalier of St.Anna order.

No exact date but here comes a little compensation.

The very same breast star of St.Anna order that belonged to him.

No info about his Nevsky but I have a date for his order of St. George 4th class.

He received it "for distinctionsin the wars with Napoleon" on October 8, 1813 (No. 2712 according to the Grigorovich - Stepanov list of cavaliers).

    Med vennlig hilsen,

    Nick

Leave it to JapanX to come through with the correct info for this thread. Now if he can only find me an inexpensive, silver, good quality, copy/fake of an 1807 Saint George Cross!

I am trying to identify these miniatures and hopefully the person it belonged to.

I know very little about the Russian orders, but I list all as the auction house did:

Royal Order of the Seraphim (Kungliga Serafimerorden)

    Order of Alexander Nevsky???

Royal Order of the Sword (Kungliga Svärdsorden)

    Order of Saint Anna ???

Order of the Polar Star (Nordstjärneorden)

    Order of Saint Vladimir ???

Royal Order of Vasa (Kungliga Vasaorden)

For Valour in the Field(För tapperhet i fält)

The Medal for Outstanding Civic Service (Norwegian,Medaljen for Borgerdåd)

The Norwegian Medal for Outstanding Civic Service has as far as I know only been awarded to two Swedish citizens in the current periode:

Gustaf Carl Fredrik Löwenhielm and Nils Fredrik Palmstierna

Can anybody help with the Russian orders, and maybe also the owner?

This is an interesting hanger for the miniatures.  How is that slit used to attach the hanger to a uniform or dress coat?

Russian orders correctly identified from around the 1840s if  that is helpful.

I don't know. I think the order of the medals is also strange. Russian and Swedish orders in random order.

There was a large Swedish contingent in Russian service. Both military and civil. Could explain the apparently random order
