Guest Rick Research Posted April 14, 2006 Share Posted April 14, 2006 Tilt it so the handles are both down and what you have there is an army Commissar's star, worn on the lower sleeve of each arm just above the cuffs.These were generally removed following Hitler's "Commissar Order" that these officers be executed on the spot when captured.
