Freiherr von Milkau?

I am looking for information on Freiherr von Milkau, who served as Oberstleutnant (as least for some time) in the Saxon army and who was awarded an Order of the Iron Crown 2nd class. Would it be possible to find out something about his career and decorations?

So we know now that he held the rank of Oberst (colonel) and that he had a Order of the Iron Crown 2nd class. Surely, there must be more information?

1902: Major on the staff of 1. Husaren-Regiment Nr. 18

Oberst: 25.3.07 D

14.7.09: Officer of the Army

20.10.09: Provisional commander of 2. Kavallerie-Brigade Nr. 24

24.9.10: Retired with character of Generalmajor

Died 24.12.1913

Was it common for the sons of the nobility in the German States before unification to join the army at such a young age?

he was a former cadet, so his age at entry was not out of the ordinary.
