sftrooper86 Posted December 11, 2019 Posted December 11, 2019 Greetings to all, My question is what country used this style of buckle? British, Australian? Happy Holidays, Vince
Mike McLellan Posted December 11, 2019 Posted December 11, 2019 (edited) A bit blurry, but the winged knife looks like the insignia of the Special Air Services of the British Army. But, you already knew that. Edited December 11, 2019 by Mike McLellan
sftrooper86 Posted December 12, 2019 Author Posted December 12, 2019 Yes, It's the actual circular part that holds the answer. The Rhodesian is all polished with no stippled center. I think the Australians use this style but do the British?
Delta21 Posted January 30, 2021 Posted January 30, 2021 This style is also used by the NZ SAS but not the British SAS (or the Rhodesian), as they use the earlier ‘Victors’ style locket.

Delta21 Posted January 31, 2021 Posted January 31, 2021 There are only two styles - the pattern made by Hobsons (already pictured in this thread) and the one made by Victors of Aldershot (which may or may not be marked ‘Victors’). I attach photo.
