I was wondering if it would be possible to ID the owner of this set. The ID tag came with the set, but there's no proof that its attached to this grouping.  I will list the fallowing awards below to the best of my knowledge.

    Iron cross (2nd class)

    1914-1918 cross with swords

    Prussian war effort

    Red cross

    Kaiser Wilhelm century medal?

Order of the Prussian crown 3rd class???

Order of the Red Eagle with swords ??

    China Boxer

    Long service

    Long service

    Baden award?

    Austrian combatants medal 1914-1918

Any information would be great. I have owned this one for a while and unfortunately haven't found anything on it. If it has a possible owner that would awesome, but we'll see.

    Thank you and best regards

    Luke.

Could somebody please clarify under what circumstances was an AEZ awarded with swords?

    Thank you.

    Allgemeines Ehrenzeichen (Preussen)

I don’t think that the AEZ medal was ever given with swords, I think it was rather unofficially “upgraded” by the wearer.

Thank you for that clarification.  I'd never heard of an AEZ with Swords before so it was surprising to see such a thing on a ribbon bar.

These bars must belong to Fregattenkapitän Emil Dohnke who was born in 1879 and entered service in 1898.  He was around 57 or 58 years old when he got his Long Service Awards but there is no indication that he ever participated in WW2.

    Thank you!

    Best regards

    Luke
