Deutschritter Posted November 15, 2020 Posted November 15, 2020 I am looking for all war decorations (1914--1918) for Gerhard Hoffmann, who would later become General der Flakartillerie. Thank you! Here is what I have on him up to now: Eisernes Kreuz (1914), II. und I. Klasse Ehrenkreuz für Frontkämpfer Wehrmacht-Dienstauszeichnungen Wiederholungsspange (1939) zum Eisernen Kreuz II. und I. Klasse (1914) Flakkampfabzeichen der Luftwaffe am 19. August 1942 Erdkampfabzeichen der Luftwaffe am 26. November 1942 Deutsches Kreuz in Gold am 21. Dezember 1942 als Generalleutnant und Kommandeur der 15. Flak-Division Orden der Krone König Zvonimirs, Großkreuz mit Schwertern am 30. November 1944 als General der Flakartillerie und Kommandierender General und Befehlshaber im Luftgau III
Daniel Krause Posted November 16, 2020 Posted November 16, 2020 Hi, add a Bavarion MVO4 with swords, a Bremen Hanseatic and a Spanish Yoke and Arrows 2nd class. Best, Daniel 1
Deutschritter Posted November 16, 2020 Author Posted November 16, 2020 Thank you very much, dear Daniel!
Deutschritter Posted November 17, 2020 Author Posted November 17, 2020 Daniel, one short question: When you write 2nd Class, ist that beginning at the top (then it would be a Großkreuz) or at the bottom (then Kommandeur)?
Daniel Krause Posted November 17, 2020 Posted November 17, 2020 Good question, which I can not properly answer. My files say 2nd class. From his rank in the late 30ies, I would assume he's got a Commanders grade. Best, Daniel
Deutschritter Posted November 17, 2020 Author Posted November 17, 2020 Thank you! Maybe even Großoffizier ... I now at least know the date: 20 January 1941. https://www.boe.es/datos/pdfs/BOE//1941/042/A00971-00974.pdf Daniel, do you happen to have anything on Rittmeister Heinrich Danckelmann (later General der Flieger) between 1914 and 1918? I would be very grateful.
Daniel Krause Posted November 18, 2020 Posted November 18, 2020 Danckelmann got nothing more than a EK1 and a black wound badge in WW. Best, Daniel
Carol I Posted August 28, 2022 Posted August 28, 2022 (edited) I wonder whether these are his decorations (the lot was sold a couple of years ago in Germany, but the name of the awardee was not disclosed at the request of the family). It will add the Order of the Crown of Romania and the Order of Roman Eagle to the list of WWII awards. Edited August 29, 2022 by Carol I 1
