kolsi Posted December 12, 2020 Share Posted December 12, 2020 Hello, we are looking for our relative who was born in Teplitz-Schönau in Bohemia in 1933, expelled to Germany in 1946 with his family, lived in Neustadt/Hessen up to 1960 and then was lost. Nobody knows what happened to him except he travelled a lot, lived in France for a while and maybe recruited to foreign legion. We have his picture in some army uniform. Bayern Posted December 18, 2020 Share Posted December 18, 2020 Hello Tomas, Hard to determine because the type of uniform is common to many countries, of some interest are the Shoulder boards but sadly are not clearly visibles . I think more in Belgium than France because of the SBs . Belgian Ecole Royal Militaire Cadets used SBs of twisted cord in diverse colours, according to the year . the Buttons appears as those of the Belgian Chasseurs,with a horn in the center. Unfortunately, I cannot provide better photo, because we got only this digital copy and do not have the original available. We already tried to contact some foreign legion services if they could have some information about him but no positive response from anyone.
