Hi to all, I came across this nice little French Croix de Guerre (1914-16) with its Fourragere, However it has the number 7 attached to it the Fourragere. Can somebody please let me know what it stands for please. Thanks in advance.

Probably a unit with the number 7, that was mentioned honourable 4-5 times in the order of the army (Yellow-green Fourragère)
