Martyn
These badges are all of the early type and appear to have come off uniforms as they have stitching around the edge. They are all backed. The anchor in a border is quite small and looks like it's probably a cuff badge. Any info would be most welcome. Thank you
Martyn
I know that these are not conventional in appearance but being backed and stitched to something suggests to me that they may be original. Looking too obvious to be fakes is it possible that they were made on board a ship as replacement badges or were they produced whilst on a foreign station? I thought originally that they may be film props but then, why bother to back them as they would only be needed for a short time.
ashley58
Hi, sorry for the delay in answering but i disposed of my Kriegsmarine books long ago but am sure the small anchor badge is worn on the swimming trunks /but in all honesty i am thinking they may be Bundesmarine as they bear no resemblance(in my mind) to Kriegsm. badges ?? cheers Ashley
