Hello All,

 

Can anyone ID these hallmarks?

Yes. The oval kokoshnik mark is of a female head facing left with a folkloric headdress and the fineness of the metal in zolotniki and the Cyrillic letters/initials of the assayer.  It was made between 1896 and 1908.  Maker is Adolf Sper. What is your item?

You both have good eyes. How does one tell that they are fake? I BELIEVE you I just wish to learn more on how to detect.

Russian hallmarks are like women if they are too perfect they are bound to fake. The real ones have weaknesses and imperfections.
