Megan Posted Wednesday at 09:25 Posted Wednesday at 09:25 A sad loss indeed. Medals are no consolation, yet show what his sacrifice meant to the nation on whose behalf he fought, by his own choice. If only Russia had not invaded Ukraine, such tragedies would not have happened. So many lives could still be being lived, Ukrainian and Russian alike as well as those who stepped up to support a sovereign nation in the face of aggression. 2
Rocket Posted Wednesday at 16:52 Posted Wednesday at 16:52 Andrew's Ukrainian "For Our and Your Freedom" medal arrived in the mail today. I have to admit that I was a bit disappointed though. Instead of the medal coming in the standard case with the small certificate booklet inside, they sublimated the certifcate onto a wooden plaque and glued the medal to the plaque. Thankfully, they didn't use permanent glue so the medal can be removed. As you can see, the back of the medal has his name engraved. Oh well...my wife and I are just happy to have finally received the medal. John 2
