Oberst d. R. Gerhard-Georg Ziegler

Gentlemen, does anyone know with what regiment Gerhard Edgar Wilhelm Christian Friedrich Georg Ziegler (1896–1982) served in WWI? I would love his promotion dates and more, maybe someone has his Soldbuch?

I know you have had a reply via the Axis History Forum, but just to add that he has two files available in the Bundesarchiv, one held in Berlin-Lichterfelde and the other in Bayreuth. Strangely, he doesn't have a personnel file listed.

Thank you! I still cannot believe, no one knows in which unit(s) he served with in WWI. But I will not give up hope.

He was a Badener (born in Rastatt) and was a Lt.d.R. in IR 142.

So he served in the same regiment as his brother Karl Otto Hermann Wilhelm Wolfgang Ziegler. Thank you, Dave!
