I would like to know if there was any material in these boxes when they originally shipped. Was it just the cross in the box or was there an insert or some cotton? Mine is empty.

Good Morning Chet! I’ve had two boxed, one was wrapped in tissue and stone cold mint with a beautiful patina. Nice cross! Thanks for sharing!

Thanks Rick! I figured that there was something in the box to keep the cross from rattling around but I wasn’t sure what.

Oooh, cool box, I'd like one of those. I have a couple of Godet boxes, and a Knauer, and they both used cotton.
