Daniel Murphy Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 Joe,Nice one. I have not seen that maker before. One of the nice things about imperial EK2s, you could probably have 178 variations and still not have them all. 78? Looks I need to play some catch up before all the good ones are gone. Dan Murphy
notned Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 Hi Joe,WoW! you have 78 different variations of the EKII!!!That is impressive! How will you know when to stop??(goes off and inspects his meagre collection...)CheersPaul
joe campbell Posted May 19, 2006 Author Posted May 19, 2006 thank you, gentlemen!based on tony's MM list (i can't give him properreference, as i can't remember his site name - any help?),i started looking....and found...and found...and found...these variations include different styles by the samemanufacturer, as well as different locations on the cross itself.keeps me ever on the hunt, but dan is correct. there's probably hundreds, and paul is correct: i'll die LONG before i find the last one... joe
notned Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 Good on ya mate! ( as we say down here in NZ)i can think of worse things to collect......( No! No! don't go there...)Respect Gentlmen...Keep up the good work!Paul( that Kiwi nutter)
Bill Garvy Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 (edited) Here is the link to the list of manufacturers of the Iron Cross in 2nd Class, 1914: "click here". "Pr" is listed as an "unknown maker", and you're right, Joe, it looks like an "Fr" to me. I'll take your word for it, and add this one to my wish list. . . Edited May 19, 2006 by Bill Garvy
dond Posted May 20, 2006 Posted May 20, 2006 The problem with these is you will never know when you have all of the makers...Don
