Bob Posted June 21, 2006 Author Posted June 21, 2006 Eric - while waiting for your updated edition, do you know if there is also a 2nd class of this order?
Eric Schena Posted June 21, 2006 Posted June 21, 2006 Hi Bob:Nope - there's just one class of the order and one class of medal. The medal is interesting in that there are two versions: one with a reverse inscription (PER SHERBIM TE MIRE POPULLIT) and one without. The order, BTW, was established during the restructuring on 18 January 1965.Cheers,Eric

Closer examination required upon receipt
Bob Posted June 26, 2006 Author Posted June 26, 2006 Received a silver colored one in the mail - will post scan over the weekend.I think there really might be 2 classes (or even a 3rd?) to this order.
Bob Posted June 29, 2006 Author Posted June 29, 2006 Not a high quality scan but trust me, this one is completely silver colored and - despite scan perhaps giving wrong impression due to light effect - it is not just a faded bronze / gold colored one - 2 classes (or more) after all?!!??!
Eric Schena Posted June 29, 2006 Posted June 29, 2006 That's really interesting! None of the regulations I have on hand indicate that there are multiple classes of this order. I wonder if this was a manufacturing variation or perhaps the finish rubbed off or something (hard to tell w/o seeing it in person). If you can read Albanian, here's the text from Law No. 6133 (P?r titujt e nderit dhe dekoratat e Republik?s Popullore Socialiste t? Shqip?ris?) from 1980 that specifies the honors system and this law does specify classes if there are multiple classes:Neni 44Urdhri dhe Medalja ?P?r sh?rbim t? mir? popullit?Urdhri dhe Medalja ?P?r sh?rbim t? mir? popullit? u jepet kolektivave punonj?se dhe punonj?sve t? tregtis?, t? sh?ndet?sis?, t? komunales, t? transportit, t? PT, t? arkave t? kursimit dhe punonj?sve t? tjer?, q? kan? lidhje me sh?rbimet, p?r pritje shum? t? mir? t? popullit dhe p?r sh?rbim t? shpejt? e shembullor ndaj tij, p?r organizim dhe drejtim shum? t? mir? t? pun?s n? sektorin ku punojn?, p?r zbatim n? m?nyr? t? p?rsosur t? t? gjitha rregullave higjieno-sanitare n? vendin ku punojn?, p?r kujdes t? madh n? ruajtjen dhe mir?mbajtjen e pasuris? socialiste dhe p?r tejkalimin e planit t? shtetit n? t? gjith? treguesit tekniko-ekonomik?.
Bob Posted July 25, 2006 Author Posted July 25, 2006 as far as i can tell... two variations... and two classes?
Bob Posted November 3, 2007 Author Posted November 3, 2007 Just received a documented medal. With text on reverse and vertical pin.Showing the document here. Translation: "Distinguished himself for a speedy and responsible service towards the people, and for a good quality work". In other words... not very specific. Also not clear if a "leather"-like document is missing or not.

I am collecting more and more documents nowadays.

Belaruski Posted November 23, 2012 Posted November 23, 2012 I finally found a silver order and Bob's right it's definately a finished award and there's no sign of any gold finish having worn away.
albania Posted November 23, 2012 Posted November 23, 2012 Sorry to say but this order existed only in one class - the silver one is factory defect.
Belaruski Posted November 23, 2012 Posted November 23, 2012 I don't mind that! It's nice to get things like this from time to time. Like the gold Order of Bravery someone posted here and the gold centred Skanderbeg 1st classes by Prawema.
