Paul C
I won this Frackbar at the July 15 Thies Auction. Per discussions with "the master" we believe that the missing medal is a HOH3X. I don't believe that I will be able to trace the bar throught the RL's and award rolls. I thought I would post it and see if anyone who may have bid on it has any information on who the holder was. Any assistance is appreciated.
seeheld
Hi Paul C,I was the bidder against to you on this Lot.Why you don't believe that the HOH3X is missing on this bar? I think an other medal or order is not possible. And for information only: the Military Merit Cross from Mecklenburg-Schwerin is one of the rarest models of the WW 1 type. You will see...Congratulations! Best Regards Frank

seeheld
Hi Paul, from the MMV's we have a lot of different typs. I will show here a normal MMV 2 1914.On the normal Typ you can see that the border is polished and you have on the frontside the text in capital letters. On the rarest typ you can see that the border is not polished. The inscription is in small letters. Edited July 21, 2006 by seeheld

Steve K.
It is so hard to tell from the Thies pics, but if Seeheld is correct, I can tell you, I've only seen approx. 1 out of every 10 mounted FF2s in this version. Please let us know when you receive it.
