Some of these may be hidden here elsewhere, and links will be provided as relevant.Background: My interest in labor awards or the broadly defined "socialist" world, my interest in the pro-government side in the Spanish Civil War, and my interest in other pretty things that catch my eye. Something like the recently created Orders, Decorations, Medals & Militaria of Japan forum? I've seen increased interest here in recent months on DDR collecting. It could be either under the Germany: Imperial Germany & Austria-Hungary, Weimar Republic, Third Reich, Post 1945, Militaria & History category or the Imperial Russian, Soviet & Eastern Block Country's Militaria & Awards forum. It does make me a bit uneasy with some of these awards that the recipient may still be alive . . . and could, themselves, Google this thread . . . .
