Peter J Posted May 27, 2007 Posted May 27, 2007 My latest purchase, most probably a ground find by judging the corrosion. Still pretty good shape though. KRPeter
Scowen Posted May 27, 2007 Posted May 27, 2007 Very nice Peter. It looks to be unmarked is this the case? You can sometimes find them with makers, here's mine, unmarked. CheersDon
Scowen Posted May 27, 2007 Posted May 27, 2007 (edited) I also have the 25 year service. This is marked for Carl Wild, Hamburg. Edited April 16, 2015 by Scowen
Peter J Posted May 27, 2007 Author Posted May 27, 2007 Don, it's surely difficult to rock your world Your assumption is correct, it's unmarked and far from the quality featured on your's. This close-up shows some of the pitting, but the lighting prevents another interesting observation i.e. the emamel has lost it's shiny texture and faded into a pale nuance, except for the red field, which is still intact. KRPeter
--dj--Joe Posted May 27, 2007 Posted May 27, 2007 Peter, still a nice example! Don, both wonderfull examples also! With all the detail on these it's hard to realize how small in size they are.--dj--Joe
Peter J Posted May 27, 2007 Author Posted May 27, 2007 Absolutely, the size haven't even been mentioned, 11mm!!!KRPeter
Scowen Posted May 27, 2007 Posted May 27, 2007 Peter, don't worry a worn or ground dug pin can rock my world just as much as a mint one, sometimes more as they show some life! Plus just look at the craftmanship on such a small item. The 25yr is slightly larger at around 16mm.CheersDon
--dj--Joe Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 What do you know, I have an example to contribute. Thanks to Don. Paulmann & Crone L?denscheid. Obverse shows wear. Regards,--dj--Joe
Peter J Posted May 28, 2007 Author Posted May 28, 2007 Fascinating, before yesterday I was oblivient to this specific pin (had to look it up in Br?ggemann's book) and now we've seen four different . I just love this forum KRPeter
Peter J Posted June 18, 2009 Author Posted June 18, 2009 Don, I've found an ever nicer 25 years by Carl Wild . I noticed there are two organisations using the same basic design, Deutschnationaler Handlungsgehilfen-Verband and Deutscher Handlungsgehilfen-Verband "DHV" (also a Verband Deutscher Handlungshilfen "VDH"). For those who have the H?sken catalogue, take a good look at these and see if you can notice something odd.cheersPeter
nesredep Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 Hello!PeterI agree, nice find. All the bestNesredep
Scowen Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 OK I give in, what am I looking for???? Nice pin by the way :jumping:
Peter J Posted June 19, 2009 Author Posted June 19, 2009 Don, check the 3-coloured left shield cheersPeter
Peter J Posted June 19, 2009 Author Posted June 19, 2009 Well, 3403 has the white stripe going down left from top to bottom, same as the ones of a different shown here. H?sken's illustration of "our" type has the stripe going down right from top to bottom! This will leave us with two versions of 3403d and 3403f, instead of only one as shown in the book.cheersPeter
Scowen Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 Very interesting, I've never seen a Deschler marked piece before. Thanks for posting it.
Pagan Posted April 15, 2015 Posted April 15, 2015 Hi GentlemenPicked up these 2 25 year Carl Wild marked DHV stickpins. With the non TR item the White strip goes in another direction, is someone able to let me know why this is? Was this before done before Adolf and friends or after Adolf and friends departed? Thanks in advance
--dj--Joe Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 Wonder what period Carl Wild used the CW in the irregular octagon? --dj--Joe
