As part of the ongoing projects being considered here at GMIC I would like to start to create a tinnie database. Tinnies are still a relatively cheap collecting item and are something which I have been steadily collecting over the years.

However as we all realise there are thousands of variants and cataloguing or collecting them all is next to an impossible task. Tieste has probably come as close as anyone has been able to creating a comprehensive catalogue but I have at times found even his great work lacking.

To that end I will lay down a challenge and ask that within this thread we start posting pictures and information on tinnies. Please post here with the understanding that at some point in the near future I will start to collate the information and photos and put it into a catalogue format that will be available to all members.

Sorry to those of you that have already posted in another thread but as this is for a project I thought it best to highlight requirements first.

All tinnies, day badges, WHW, Police & Wehrmacht Badges etc are welcome.

Are you up to the challenge..........

Here is a DLV Tinnie from 1936. Sorry that it isn't completely vertical.

And another this time WHW. Nice simple design. No space to post reverse. Has nice pin attachment.

A subject not often seen. War Dogs. James, I am not sure whether we are supposed to comment here or not. I feel lucky that you are sharing some of your incredibly rare tinnies. Would anyone know the breed of the canine depicted? Appears a little thin to be a German Shepard. Thank You James. Please delete this post if necessary. Robert
