Allan Posted December 11, 2005 Share Posted December 11, 2005 Heres are some examples of cased EK11.Three cases at the front are similer to the case being dicussed here, the main difference being the way the ribbon is attached to the inside of the lid.My personal opinion is that as these were private purchase cases, retailers during the Third Reich period would have used up old stock left over from WW1 and produced between the wars before anything else, hence the fact that a WW1 EK11 may very well fit more snuggly than a WW11 EK11.Allan Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Obviously not correct in there.:-) Terry, that left no peace to you now...The (at the EK attached) eye sinks with my copy also not completely in the recess planned for it. So this is not an "out" criterion. Maybe your inlay is a little carelessly manufactured....but be sure that kind of case is made for the prussian ones (and in my opinion also the cases of this type shown by Allan -very nice collection, indeed!- )I must still smile that my comments let you no rest and you've managed (despite all adversities) to get a "KO" to put it in your case.
