    1. Rick Cheers. I will move it to the relevant section. Any more info on this badge would be appreciated !
    2. The slanted N looks like it has been etched into the badge. I bought it without seeing it, (but knowing there was a chip), just a little bigger than I was hoping Still it wasn't too expensive.
    3. Membership badge for the Central Association of German Horse Examination and Breeding (if my translation is correct). Shame about the damage to the enamel.
    4. Anyone seen this type of pin before. The pin itself looks like a modern replacement, the badge is bronze. The lion reminds me of NSB badges. Anyone recognise it or is it fake, or fantasy. Any help appreciated.
    5. Thanks Antonio thats the medal I thought it might be. I just wondered what it was issued for. Nick
    6. Have you got a picture of the medal out of shot. What is it? Thanks

    8. Megan Welcome !! I like your website very informative ! Hope you stay around and enjoy the forum.
    9. Just to clear things up for me did the DRKB and later NSKB take control of regional veterans associations i.e. the Prussian Landeskriegerverband, as the award certificate is issued by the DRKB, but the awards themselves were still the old regional variant ?
    10. Interesting topic and it does open up the wider debate as to evolution of the DRKB Insignia and the inclusion of the swastika. Has anyone got a rough timeline when the insignia changed ? As for the award which matches the certificate as John says Ehrenzeichen can cover both a medal type decoration and badge so it does not help to really narrow it down. Dortmund was in Prussia but the Prussian Landeskriegerverband is a separate Organisation unless it was incorporated into the DRKB, but even so would they still be issuing such awards as late as 1936 ?
    11. This being a 1936 DRKB Award I am almost certain it would have had a swastika on the decoration. I am not sure we have quite got to the bottom of this yet.
    12. Red Threat has been warned for rude behaviour, which will not be tolerated here at GMIC. Now back to the quiz.
    13. Wow Mongolia is one destination I have to get to.....one day..... but in the Summer !! Lots of photos please !!!
    14. Try applying vaseline to the affected area it looks similar to Zinc Pest ?

    16. No it looks more like an outline of an animal with a white background and border around the background.
    17. The second badge also looks like a Regimental Traditionsabzeichen but from the angle it is so hard to tell what it is.
    18. Cheers John That is looking more like it
