    1. Thank you Rick, are there any numbers available of how many MVKIII were awarded to German Officers during 14/18? Hardy
    2. S&L 1957, second model with magnetic core, "800" mark on the back at 6-o'clock position
    3. from: Volksbund Deutsche Kriegsgr?berf?rsorge e.V.: Oberleutnant Herbert Radmann, born: 30.09.1912 in Berlin died on January 18th 1942 at the Field Hospital 61 in Gshatsk. Radmann was a veteran of the Polish and French campaigns
    4. Thanks Laurence, I did some research, and it is my understanding that: 4 stands for the Kompanie, 1 for the Zug (platoon) and the last 1 for the first tank in the Zug. That would mean the tank 411 Ylll, belonged to Leutnant Radmann the Zugf?hrer of the first Patoon 4. Kompanie Panzer Regiment 7, 10. Panzerdivision
    5. Can you help me identifying this Panzer IV on the back is written in German: German Panzer IV attacks, Russia front: I enlarged the image and it looks like the tactical sign of the 10.PzDiv on the side: Ylll am I right in the assumption that this tank belonged to the commander of the 4.Kompanie, 10.PzDiv ? Any help is appreciated Regards, Hardy
    6. Hi Andre' I think most of us have some dubious items - in the end you have to decide how you feel about it. If you like it you keep it. It's as simple as that. All the Best, Hardy Tony, I would really like to see some pages of that Soldbuch.
    7. Nice Tag Tony! - without the provenance it would be highly suspicious - and it does contradict my points 1 and 2, Quote: "I should add the this tag was issued late war which may account for the non SS runes" but the low serial number in Andre's Tag makes my first two poins valid. - unless Andre's tag is a late war replacement (they couldn't find the runes and because the war ended soon there are no wear marks) Hardy
    8. Excellent!! , Mike Dwyer good observation - so there is a Garde connection and he wore the Garde Stern on the inside because he was actually serving in another Regiment. Regards, Hardy

    10. Hi Mike, Rick aka Rick Research can probably find von Steinau of the 1./IR 114 in the Baden Stammrollen and can tell you exactly when he served. Regards, Hardy
    11. This is the von Steinau crest (same as on your sword) The 114 was a Baden Regiment stationed in Konstanz 6. Badisches Infanterie-Regt. Kaiser Friedrich III Nr.114 (Konstanz Regards, Hardy
    12. Hello, The Degen belonged to an Offizier von Steinau of the 1. Kompanie Infanterie Regiment 114 Rgards, Hardy
    13. Hello, I dont like it, because: 1 "SS" not being in runes 2 no wear in the holes (see picture) 3 Regiment "F" ( Der F?hrer) with the low man number 29 Regards, Hardy
    14. Hi SPM, forget about it, I'm just returning the favour. You helped me out a couple of times already. Here is one: http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=17943&hl=spm All the Best, Hardy
    15. Hi Robert, here is the Standarte of the 110er and the German site of the Traditionsverein: http://www.kaisergrenadiere.de.vu/ Regards, Hardy
    16. Robert, could you scan in a close-up of this drummers helmet? Regards, Hardy
    17. Yes that is the right shoulder board and it belongs to the 110 Baden Regiment see the straps here: http://www.kaisersbunker.com/gtp/straps.htm the Grenadier-Regt. Kronprinz (1.Ostpreu?isches) Nr.1 had Litzen on their tunics and the shoulder board was slightly different, showing FR III under the crown Regards, Hardy
    18. I believe they used the Prussian eagle hangers - Baden Regiments also used Prussian Belt Buckles Regards, Hardy
    19. SMP I disagree (it rhymes!) have a look at the bottom Kokades on the Feldm?tzen, it is definatley not the Prussian colors (black - white - black), but it could be the Baden colors (yellow - red - yellow), I think that one can just see the Baden griffin on the helmet of the drummer in the first picture. Perhaps a closeup would solve this Regards, Hardy
