    1. Here is the one wich came with some docs I have from Oblt. Herwig Kn?ppel - 8 victories in Spain, will be killed over France on May 19th, 1940 as commandant of II./JG 26 after 3 new air victories
    2. This one is a personal emblem and is attached to a "sad" story. "It belongs to 1./K88, aircraft 25-15 (He 111, know as "Pedro 15"), flown by Lt Fuhrhop. His (and his crew) mascot was a black Scotch terrier, who was not as so lucky as the crew, as he was killed over Sagunto on 13 June 1938."
    3. Here is the one from Fw. Heinz Holzhey, pilot in 2.(H)/AG 31 Ehrenpokal: 13.09.1943 DKiG: 17.10.1943 * Going by memory, he received the SC in silver with swords
    4. Here is a Mickey Mouse as used by 3.J/88. Disney cartoons have been used in abondance as unit or personal emblems.
    5. Taking Don's observation "With no swaz on it I'm inclined to think it is post war/ a 57er", most (not all) of the LW emblems don't have a "swaz", to follow with th same example of Panzeraufklarunstaffel 6/13, hehe is the scan of the document issued with this pin and the date is 30.9.41 I am not saying that the pin shown by Stogie is wartime but if it is the case (my opinion) it is linked to a Panzeraufklarunstaffel and not to a HG unit
    6. I can try but may be wrong and accept to be corrected. In my opinion it is not linked to HG division but to a Panzeraufklarungstaffel. My theory is based on the design and on some pins I already have (I don't have this one but would like to have it if one day it is available). To illustrate what I am saying I attached one from Panzeraufklarungstaffel 6/13
    7. Paul, I am not sure of regulations for the pins but if you look at the picture the guy is wearing a SC which means he already returned from Spain - I may be wrong here but believe that those badges were only commemorative (like other pins) and were not worn after a new unit affectation - but I may be wrong. This particular pin was also worn by Spanish crew.
    8. Scott, Back is post card format with some writtings, for obvious reasons I won't post a pic of it - several fakes of it are already circulating (Mike Heuer (LW collector) had one which he gave me - Having both an original and a copy, I can tell you it is close but no cigar. * May I ask you why you ask, do you have one pic like this one?
    9. Here is a picture of a German pilot from 1./K. 88 with 2 original pins of the same unit (they didn't come together). The flash is reflecting on the pins (sorry for that) - they look similar but are not, even if both came from the same guy
    10. Thanks for posting them good friend, most, if not all your badges, especially the fighter clasps should be saved as reference by everybody Again, thanks
    11. Sorry for the confusion my friend, it doesn't provide "heat" but "light" when you writte at night or in a dark place of the plane, seems to be powered by 2 small batteries inside the pencil. I agree for an observer
    12. As my German is close to zero, I attach a pic of what (among other things) should be found in the observer bag (as the one in the color picture) maybe someone wil be able to translate if it is mentioned
    13. Attached is a color wartime picture showing one wxith a crew member. In my opinion, they are typical from early war (for the use) but I also believe that they are part of the content on the observer bag (have to check)
