    1. Hi Sergey, I am sorry to say that I cannot help you as this organisation is not one that I collect. I have attached a couple of the pictures in case the link breaks. Try contacting "hunmilitaria" who posted this thread on WAF http://www.wehrmacht-awards.com/forums/showthread.php?t=463160&highlight=hungarian I hope that someone else may be able to help. Cheers Don
    2. I had suspected that you had picked it up at a bargain (compared to what the dealers ask), which is why I posted the link. I didn't think that you'd believe me if I told you it's value Very nice find, let me know if you spot another at that price, I've been after one for years Cheers Don
    3. very nice Pete, these thing are usually quite expensive. Some background on them here for anyone interested http://www.hj-research.com/forum/f55/erweiterte-kinderlandverschickung-badge-4110/ Cheers Don
    4. Hi Sergey, I have seen the badges in museums in Germany & Austia. Unfortunately I did not take photos of them, however here is a similar badge that was offered for sale some time ago which was listed as war time. As you can see it is similar but not exactly the same. I will see if I can find anymore pictures. Also there is a period poster which shows the badge, but again not exactly the same. Cheers Don
    5. That is indeed a shame, another reason why I stay away from pole tops & such, I don't know anything about them. But now that you mention it, the Swaz on all the NSBO pins etc I've seen are always static & not mobile, I'd never noticed it before. Cheers Don
    6. The badge certainly existed without the Swastika & the are many pictures of it in wear, however none of them so far have ever shown the version with the Swastika. Also from what I understand, the Red Cross Organisation would never allow the Swastika to be placed directly on the red cross symbol. If you check the various DRK badges, the Swaz is alway on the eagle, never the red cross. The Red Cross Organisation had a fair amount of influence over Hitler, as I seem to recal that the reason that the Social Welfare award was introduced was because the Red Cross were upset that Hilter was awarding the DRK awards to so many people it felt should not have received it. These badges with the Swaz (shown above) are believed to have been made by Floch in Austria in the 1970's. Cheers Don
    7. Certainly looks like a hood ornament to me. Very nice present, well done. Cheers Don
    8. looks like an Ehrennadel to me, very nice too. Cheers Don
    9. I agree with you 100% Sergey, definitely a bad one as far as I am concirned. So many people still buy these, but I would not want one in my collection. Cheers Don
    10. Very interesting Sergey, I have never seen this badge with another maker. I hope you do not mind, I have moved the other badge to a new thread here: http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=46485 Thank you for posting it. Cheers Don
    11. Hope you don't mind Sergey, but I have moved your post into this new thread. Nice badge, here's mine. I've lightened the contrast a little to show the detail better, but the actual colour of the badge is the same as yours. Cheers Don
    12. Hi Pete, When these were discussed over on WAF last year it was suggested that it could be for the Baltische Landswehr, but it wasn't confirmed as far as I can remember. I'm sure this is shown in the "Unknown" section of the new Hüsken??? Cheers Don
    13. Hi Sergey, Thank you for posting this, I was hoping that someone would have one I have only seen this badge with this maker mark once before, several years ago, & it was (& may still be) owned by a collector in Denmark. I have no idea whether they are original or not but you do not see them very often. Thank you again for posting it. Cheers Don
    14. Hi James, Good to see you still visit. A couple of nice pieces, I assume that they are unmarked? Cheers Don
    15. Good morning Sergey. An interesting & controversial badge you have posted. This is considered by many collectors to be a fantasy badge based on the very rare 3/204 Himmighausen badge (see below) which was shown in the period Assmann catalogue. A very big RAD collector in Germany named Michael Jonas believes that the 4/305 Braunschweig badges are genuine prototype examples, however many other collectors now feel that they are fantasy/fake. Thanks for posting your badge, I hope that you will show more of your collection. Cheers Don
    16. Ah! So that is your secret I do not clean my badges, I prefer to leave them as I find them. The Hessen-Nassau is a nice piece as well. Thank you for showing it. Cheers Don
    17. Welcome to the forum Sergey, I am please to make your acquaintance as well. I hope that you enjoy the forum & I look forward to seeing some of your collection. Cheers Don
    18. That is indeed in a better condition, I do not think that I have ever seen one so clean. Thank you for showing it. Cheers Don
    19. Hi srn (sorry, I do not know your name). Thank you for your reply which is very interesting. I know Jo & will have a talk to him about his feelings on these. Cheers Don
    20. It was I who ordered the badge from Weitze on Friday as I wished to see what it looked like in hand. I am very sceptical as to whether these badges are original, the reason being that in all the years that I have been collecting, I have never seen or heard of this badge before it appeared in the new Hüsken catalogue issued a few weeks ago. That would not normally be a problem, as I often find badges that I've never seen before & many of them are original. However, when a badge that I've never seen before turns up for the first time in a book & then within a few weeks of publication they are being sold on a dealers site, alarm bells start to ring. They may be original, I do not know, but I think we need tp see how many more turn up in the next few weeks/months. Cheers Don
    21. I'm afraid that I've never seen anything like it sorry. Maybe one of the other members may be able to help. Cheers Don
    22. I'm sorry to say that the enamel "Nesselwang" is considered by most enamel collectors to be a fake based on a very similar design, "all metal" tinnie, see here for an original http://www.wehrmacht-awards.com/forums/showthread.php?t=443963&highlight=nesselwang The enamel versions appeared in the 1970's around the same time as the DRK sisters badges with the coloured borders, the DRK alpine rescue badge & the various NSFK enamel fakes. Sorry Don
    23. It's definitely not Dutch (well, not pre '45 Dutch), or any of the pre '45 Scandinavian NS groups. Cheers Don
    24. That's not a bad price I guess, may be worth taking the risk just in case some info turns up on it in the future. It could still be a mordern fantasy item though...... If you decide not to take it let me know Cheers Don
