    1. I've edited the title of this thread to cover all of the Opfer badges Hüsken covers, 4118 a-g. Here's 4118d Gau Hessen-Nassau. Cheers D
    2. Welcome to the forum Bruno, & a very interesting badge you show. Not only is this the first one that I've ever seen with a maker mark, but the obverse also show significant differences How long have you had it? Thanks for showing it. Robert, A choice piece! Cheers Don

    6. Yes I believe it was just accumulated years of membership in one of the various veterans groups (several were brought under the rule of the NSRKB I believe). Sorry, I rarely comment on values these days as I fully believe items are only worth what an individual is willing to pay for it. Cheers Don
    7. The enamel badge is a Golden 40 year honour pin for the National Socialist Reichskriegerbund, a veterans group. Here's a link for others you can compare it to http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=10114 Cheers Don
    8. Very nice indeed. Never seen one before or have any idea of value though, sorry. I know that there were spoons made to raise money etc as I have a WHW one somewhere. Thanks for showing it. Cheers Don
    9. I'd forgotten just how small these things are, I'm so used to seeing them enlarged so much! The Laur is 11.70mm & the Hoff 11.40mm Cheers Don
    10. Do you mean from the edge of the badge at those points or just the distance across the letters? Cheers Don
    11. Here's my Hoffst?tter marked version, unfortunately the mark is directly under the pin . If I get time at the weekend & there is sufficiant light, I'll try to get an agled shot with the camera.
    12. Nice little pin you have there Robert. These (the 1934's) can be found with & more usually without markings (I don't recal seeing a 1938 with a mark). Here's a Laur I have, I've lightened the image a tad as it's a dark pin so I'm afraid the colours are off.
    13. All RPT tinnies have been transfered from the general database, I expected more of them
    14. Beautiful Flo, thanks for sharing these items with us. Were all 3 items your great grandfather's? Cheers Don
    15. Welcome to the forum Henrik, I'm not sure that I know the answers to your questions but here's some info I picked up while visiting N?rnberg last year. There's a great toy museum there & in it is a large display regarding the toy fairs held in the city. According to the display these fairs were originally held in Leipzig until the end of the war when due to the difficulties of traders being able to pass from West to East Germany it was moved to N?rnberg. Whether these fairs were the ones for these badges I do not know. You are correct however that the fairs (& badges) were for company representatives & not for the general public. Cheers Don
    16. I have an SS Totenkopf ring that was dark brown when it arrived, nicotine apparently, the previous owner kept it out on display & was a heavy smoker. Cleaned up beautifully. I'm not good on BO's but from the very little info I've absorbed over the years, this does seem to have the three little dots in the centre arch that some people talk about..... Cheers Don
    17. Very nice Robert, I bet they could tell some stories. Thanks for showing them. Cheers Don
    18. Thank you Gentlemen, I'm not finished yet. Unfortunately I hav another project that I need to work on for a couple of weeks but when that's done I'll continue. Still to come, Reichs Parteitag, Gautag & Kreistag. Cheers Don
    19. Indeed I am Andy. Thanks for mentioning it though. Cheers Don
    20. Very nice Robert. I've been trying to discover where these WHW shoots took place, with out much luck so far. As one of the eagles is the Tirolean style I assume it was there somewhere. Still more research to do......... Cheers Don
    21. Thanks Joe, it's certainly taking some time....... Index updated!
