    1. There are very few Hohenzollern listed to MGSSA officers, the other 4-5 I have seen are all to Hauptmann... Of course there are other LTs, but pretty scarce....

    3. Here is his award.... for the German offensives in early 1918... from the awards listed, it is one of the very few to go to a MGSSA Company commander...
    4. I have an extensive set of the Machine Gunner sharpshooter magazines from 1917-18.... most have the design of the skeleton reching out from the machine gun..... some have EK1 and higher awards listed... in this one Karl Zur Lage....

    6. I picked up this one.... a Baden Württemburg maker, in Ulm...... When I got it I saw that there is a unit stamped onm the OUTSIDE.... difficult to read, but still readable.... U.R. 20 which was only about 40km away from the maker!

    13. Very nice! Is the Photo dated? Some time ago I posted a pic with a man from the Regiment wearing a "29" shoulder board... I wonder when the change took place?
