    1. Maybe it was one of the few units that decomissioned 100% by the book and the Depot had all the uniforms and goodies back in the stores.... while many other units had the guys coming home with everything up to and including their 08s.... The seller of this had a total of 3 (I think) all from the same costume company... so maybe the 2nd Pioniers had there stuff go in a block to the company in 1919, and was not worn out in the fields etc for years after the war?
    2. Hi, lots of guesswork on this one.... do you think it looks like Voltz? The awardees name looks to be Theophil XXitulla? Thanks Chris
    3. And a number of EK docs that I just needed to fill out the gaps in my search to get every infantry regiment....
    4. I really did not need a tunic, but this one really grabbed me.... http://gmic.co.uk/index.php/topic/60820-bavarian-officers-tunicrock/
    5. Then this... http://gmic.co.uk/index.php/topic/60826-trench-raid-ek1-document/
    6. I picked this up, although I had just reserved it and told him I would pick it up at the show... http://gmic.co.uk/index.php/topic/60830-at-last-an-einheitsfeldmutze/
    7. I was at Kassel yesterday.... As I was walking around, i figured there must have been quite a few people i "knew" but had no idea I was walking by them.... Anyone here I missed?
    8. I still be youth :-)
    9. Indeed... if the paper itself was only given out at X-Mas 1915.... then I think a date slip.... also note, the Bois Brule and date were written probably with different pencil.... so maybe the guy quickly added a date later and slipped up....
    10. Just kidding... as my son has a Al Ahly Football jersey, when I saw the eagle it was the first thing I thought of...
    11. The letter is from the 4th January 1916, not 15... answer to the secret ;-)
    12. For Al Ahly supporters ;-) http://cdn.bleacherreport.net/images_root/slides/photos/000/574/056/Al-Ahly_logo_display_image.png?1292634007
    13. Bet he called the 30 year bank officials who struggeled up the mountain "the youth of today!!" ;-)
    14. Will do.... damn... post office closed today ;-) So you think it fits with my officers jacket?
    15. Hi, I saw the two, the other one was a tiny bit better, but I wanted this one as it was 2. Komp. The 2. Komp was at Verdun for a lot of 1916, unfortunately this one is dated 1917, but still a very nice piece with a lot of Flanders.
    16. I have wanted one for ages, but finally this one was the one I bought.... It lacks the Cockades... but I liked the Pionier name tag....
    17. Hi, is this a bog standard Infantry officers/NCOs one? or is there some secret that says "this is a Paymaster 3rd class" one? Thanks Chris
