Indeed, But Salan has something special, if you take a glance at his Wikipedia page and his career... What is interesting is the award criteria... it seems to have been enough to have been a good buddy of Petains.

I bet someone, somewhere on the web will come up with the idea that..... "Well, because the Germans were supplied by air and every kilo counted on the supply planes, they especially made lighter bakelite ones to carry into Stalingrad....." -

Do the rolls with the Bavarian LTs have ther unit? I have a family (wifes) on to a realtive, only have his name and all his medals, but not his unit. :-(

unfortunately nothing :-( Astounding quality, especially as it is only 18mm high. Even on the back they knocked themselves out.

Hi, Here are some young recruits of the erstaz Komp. of the 8th Jaegers... I think they have the pre war uniforms on. It was common as the field grey was needed at the front, the ersatz having to train in old pre war castoffs....
