    2. Hi, It was before your time, way back in the mists of time. The guy ended up getting his money back I think.
    3. Indeed!!! Nice card. Both front and back!!
    4. Looking good, personally I would toss the flag out and get something more suited to the EK as a centrepiece. Best Chris

    12. Bayoswede has the following pic, a guy killed in 1917 with the b.R.I.R.1... Must have been Alpenkorps fofore.... check out the Edelweiss.
    13. Most of the Town guards recieved the medals without clasps. A Transvaal, OFS, or at least CC bar seems to be logical minimum, but maybe they had to have a certain amount of operational activity to qualify? Best Chris
    14. I know little about these, so I need some help here. Pictured with the medal for size. It is of high quality, the silver parts are seperate. Is this an officers quality cap badge, an ORs collar badge, a side cap badge??? Any help appretiated. Thanks Chris
    15. According to Cron, the 29th was REALLY a j?ger regt as it was formed with J?ger Battalions, whereas the 15th had only one J?ger BAtln with assorted odds and sods, so it was a loooong stretch of the imagination when they named it a J?ger Regt.
    16. Hi, I am guessing my guy was wounded badly in August of 1917 and was still back in the ersatzy Batln in June-July of 1918. So he missed the Tammy episode, but does provide some really nice examples of the unit doc. Best Chris
    17. Tony Neal sent this account of his Wifes Grandfathers capture along with some great pics and a shot of his awards. http://www.kaiserscross.com/41815/73201.html
    18. Aha... from that info it seems that Schneider signed the docs... I kept reading "Schweitzer"...
    19. A contribution by Tony Neal..... Adolf D?ring, his awards and the fighting at Petit Thiolet. http://www.kaiserscross.com/41815/73201.html
    20. Here is a set of docs to an unusual unit... the "29th Bavarian Infantry Regiment (J?ger Regiment)" So Bavarian that the "Bayernbuch" does not even mention them.
    21. Could it have been friendly artillery?
    22. Found this today... had never read about it before... http://news.independent.co.uk/world/africa...icle2405121.ece
