Ahh yes indeed.... s'funny how rings, like trousers, seen to get smaller and smaller over time...... till you cant get the ring off, or the trousers on anymore... ;-)

I dont have any minis worth showing, but I am reminded of a quote from a collector who had a British Miniture group with a VC... he pointed out it was worth a fraction of the price of the full sized group... but on the flip side, was probably worn much more often than the full sized medals....

I think they must have been ordered through the MGSSA association, they must have tailor made them for each uni that ordered them. -

Hi, I have a Prussian one somewhere, it does not have "Prussia" top right. The Bavarian 3rd Division also have a small date area on the bottom left. Best Chris -

Indeed... the yellow and red strap around the helmet looks like the white and red canvas strap we use to pull up our blinds... -
I agree with Paul, a probable "marriage" of the box and the award at a later date....
