    1. There are some interesting straight bladed swords with square pommels that are traditional to the area.

    5. I remember the days when European collectors desired the top hooks, and many US advanced collectors and dealers thought they were fake (I am talking 5-8 years ago. Once the subject was settled, the prices went through the roof.
    6. Does anyone have any info on the unit? It is for the Fourragere. Best Chris

    9. Using Cron as a huge crutch... Launching the first page dealing with the structure of the army. If you have documents to supply units, this section will hopefully be of interest. http://www.kaiserscross.com/76001/home.html
    10. I dont think it fits in anywhere as a standard unit designation. Maybe they called themselves that internally?
    11. A new section launched... it deals with the changes within the army 1914-1918. First branch covered is the Supply troops. Please see here http://www.kaiserscross.com/76001/home.html

    15. Does ANYONE have a copy of the IT to show the document? Thanks Chris
    16. Hi, Authorised seems to have been the Fernprechtrupp until 1918 when the Regt staffs and battalions formed their signals guys into their own "Truppen-Nachrichtenzug's". Maybe the designation was not yet formalized when the doc was issued?
    17. Hi, Munitions Kolonne are also not part of the Regiments order of battle. All at this stage were centrally numbered (with nothing to do with the regts) and the awards would have been at Korps level. Best Chris
    18. Very nice work. For some reason (maybe the cloor?) it reminds me of the statue at the Vietnam memorial in Washington. bst Chris
    19. Just to add some pics from a current Ebay auction... Sold as a "Spangenst?ck", i.e. a period copy purchased for wearing.
    20. Hi, but that was not a signals unit designation used in WW1, and definately not at Regt level. At Div level they had Abt, at regt level the signal/telephone men were intergrated into regular units with no independant signal company. Best Chris
